IMDG Code 38-16 boeken

De IMDG code heeft in de loop der jaren veel veranderingen ondergaan, zowel in indeling als in de inhoud, om de snelle expansie van de scheepvaartindustrie te kunnen volgen. Amendementen 38-16 bevatten herzieningen aan verschillende onderdelen van de code en de transportvereisten voor specifieke stoffen. Het werd aangenomen bij het Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) van de IMO tijdens zijn negentiende derde zitting in mei 2016.

De Code, zoals gewijzigd bij Wijzigingen 38-16, is verplicht vanaf 1 januari 2018, maar mag vanaf 1 januari 2017 vrijwillig door de Administraties geheel of gedeeltelijk worden toegepast.

De IMDG code is verdeeld in zeven delen:
 

Volume 1 (onderdelen 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 en 7 van de Code) bevat secties over:
– algemene bepalingen, definities en opleiding
– classificatie
– verpakkingen en tankvoorzieningen
– zendingsprocedures
– constructie en testen van verpakkingen, IBC’s, grote verpakkingen, draagbare tanks, MEGC’s en voertuigen voor wegwagens
– vervoer.
 

Deel 2 bevat deel 3 (Gevaarlijke goederenlijst, speciale bepalingen en uitzonderingen), bijlagen A en B (generieke en N.O.S. Proper Shipping Names, en woordenlijst van termen) en een index.

The International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code is the mandatory framework for all aspects of handling dangerous goods and marine pollutants in sea transport.
